Saline District Library is ""an architectural delight" situated on 11 acres of wooded property in the heart of Saline. Wonderful views are seen from any window. The library has an outside reading area, and a mile-long trail through the woods.  The library houses 66,500 items which includes books, videos, CDs, DVDs, CD-Roms, books on tape and CD, newspapers, and magazines. Electronic databases and Internet access provide patrons with the most current information available. Special services include interlibrary loan, fax and copy machines, public use computers, youth and adult reading programs and a monthly book sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Saline District Library. Display cases are available for patrons’ artwork and collections. The Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) provides access to library services for the people within its district to meet their educational, informational and recreational needs. Baby Brigade, a lapsit program for infants, birth through two years of age, and their caregivers. During these 20-minute sessions caregivers and babies will be introduced to books through stories, play, and songs. Registration required. Toddler Storytimes, Half-hour sessions filled with simple books, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays. Great for children who are at least two-years old and just beginning to sit and listen in groups. Registration required. Preschool Storytimes, Fun-filled half-hour sessions of stories, songs, fingerplays, and group activities. Perfect for children at least three-years old.
