Promotes community systems of care for children with emotional and
behavioral disorders and their families. Provides information,
networking, and advocacy to families of children with emotional and
behavioral difficulties. Access the ACMH Newsletter and link to local,
state and national organizations to obtain resources including an
Online Parent Guide on the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act;
Educational resources for parents on developmental milestones; tools
for schools, parents and doctors to recognize and treat kids with
depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety disorders, among other

help families uncover behavior that may be associated with bipolar
disorder.

Represents
a broad base of people working together as an advocate for the
mentally ill. Affiliated with the
National Mental Health Association.

Michigan Association for Children with Emotional Disorders (MACED)
Helps families find educational, mental health, and other services for
children with emotional disorders as well as to encourage and enhance
the public’s understanding and support of these children, their
families and the services they desperately need. Provides links to
mental health and juvenile justice organizations that can help you and
your child.
