Center for Education Networking (CEN)

Responds to the informational needs of families, educators, and community service providers across the state who have a vested interest in individuals with disabilities.

Michigan Directory of Service Providers for Infants, Toddlers, and Students with Disabilities
Intended for parents, educators, and other service providers seeking resource information related to the educational needs of children, students, and clients. The directory contains contact information about resources for children ages birth to three with special needs and their families (Michigan's Early On® population) and students ages 3-26 with disabilities.

 

Michigan Special Education Information available on the Bridges4Kids website. You choose a topic begin learning more about Special Education including IDEA reauthorization, special education labels, Section 504, dispute resolution and mediation, complaint procedures, eligibility, least restrictive environment, evaluation, administrative rules for special education, and how to obtain a copy for federal IDEA laws.

 

Project Find

Provides information about special education programs and services and helps arrange free educational evaluation to assist in locating a program for anyone eligible from birth to 26 years of age. The educational services are free. Project Find exists to make sure that individuals with special needs receive the best possible education. Access a listing to find the coordinator in your district.

 

Section 504 Information from Help4ADHD.org posted on Bridges4Kids discusses who qualifies for Section 504, how Section 504 can help your child, how to file a complaint with your school district, examples of program accommodations, Section 504 information and resources from the Wayne County RESA. Provides online resources related to Section 504, 504 plans and the differences/similarities among IDEA, Section 504 and ADA.

For Special Education Parents, Caregivers, Advocates and Attorneys who reside in the state of Michigan.
