Citizen’s Alliance to Uphold Special Education (CAUSE)

Is the Parent Training Information Center for the State of Michigan. CAUSE is a statewide non-profit coalition providing free information, referral, support, advocacy, and workshops to parents and professionals working with children with disabilities and special needs.

Health & Education Training

This training provides parents and professionals with basic information needed to plan and advocate for a child’s education and health needs. It covers: Types of public health care coverage available, Special education laws and rules, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes, Educational due process, and Health Preparedness resources.

Michigan Alliance For Families

Provides education and mentoring for families of children who have disabilities or other special needs, birth through 26 years of age.
