"Public health code,"
(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20531.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 20531. Not later than January 1, 2004, the department
2 shall mail a notice to each clinical laboratory licensed under
3 this act explaining the reporting requirements of this section.
4 Beginning October 1, 2005, a clinical laboratory that analyzes a
5 blood sample for lead shall report the results of the blood lead
6 analysis to the department electronically in a format as
7 prescribed by the department. The clinical laboratory shall
8 submit the report to the department as required under this
9 section within 30 days after the analysis is completed. |
