The Education Partnership was born out of a combination of The Public Education Fund, an education advocacy group that was the founder of grassroots programs in Providence such as Schools in Communities and Parents Making a Difference, and The Business Education Roundtable, a state-wide, business-led organization focused on leadership, supporting education reform and improving student achievement. The organizations merged to create a common vision and mission: to increase academic achievement in all public schools through improved leadership and governing policies at the state and local level.
